Tidal Wave is a hybrid strain produced by crossing B+ and Penis Envy — combining B+'s prolific fruiting and reliable colonization with Penis Envy's elevated potency. The result is one of the highest-testing strains in the modern cubensis library. A specific Tidal Wave isolate held the world record for psilocybin content at the 2021 Oakland Hyphae Cup, testing at 3.82% total tryptamines by dry weight — a stunning figure that brought the strain to widespread attention. Tidal Wave produces undulating, wave-shaped caps that give it both its name and a distinctive appearance.

Tidal Wave users describe experiences similar to Penis Envy — intense, immersive, visually rich — but with more energetic body sensation and what some describe as a 'rushing' quality at onset.
