Albino A+ Mushroom Strain
Overview
Albino A+ (also called AA+) is a leucistic variant of the A-strain, a Cambodian-lineage cubensis cultivar. 'Leucistic' is technically more accurate than 'albino' — the strain lacks normal pigmentation in the cap and stem but retains some coloration compared to true albinos. The result is pale, ghostly white fruiting bodies with minimal pigment. Albino A+ has developed a devoted following for aesthetic reasons as much as for its effects — the white fruiting bodies are visually striking. It produces a slightly above-average potency experience for cubensis.
Effects & Experience
Users describe Albino A+ as producing an energetic, visually engaging experience — somewhat more stimulating than strains like Golden Teacher. Reports emphasize strong visual effects at moderate doses (2.5–3.5g) and a positive, uplifting mood component. The experience is often described as more 'playful' than introspective, though individual variation applies.
Potency Profile
Slightly above average for cubensis — not in the PE-family potency range, but consistently reports of stronger effects than benchmark strains like Golden Teacher or B+. Dose conservatively on first experience.
Cultivation Notes
Albino A+ is considered intermediate difficulty. The leucistic phenotype can require slightly more precise fruiting conditions than more robust cubensis strains. It responds well to grain spawn and CVG substrate, but is somewhat more sensitive to contamination than the most forgiving beginner strains. FAE (fresh air exchange) management is important for optimal pinning.
