Psilocybin Laws in Nevada
Nevada has active psilocybin reform legislation with bills targeting therapeutic access and personal decriminalization. Nevada legalized recreational cannabis in 2016 and its tourism and wellness industries have created political appetite for broader psychedelic reform.
Current Legal Status
Active Legislation
Psilocybin remains Schedule I under Nevada law. A therapeutic access bill passed the Nevada Senate in 2025 and is awaiting Assembly action. Las Vegas harm reduction advocates have separately pushed for a city decriminalization resolution.



Key Legislation
SB 242 (2023) established a psilocybin working group — passed and signed into law. SB 129 (2025) proposed a licensed therapeutic psilocybin program; passed the Senate, in Assembly committee as of 2026.
