Charles Ream is the political advisor for Decriminalize Nature Ann Arbor and has been described as the master of Ann Arbor's local legislative process. His work was instrumental in passing Ann Arbor's 2020 entheogenic plant decriminalization resolution — one of the earliest and most influential city-level reforms in the Midwest. Ann Arbor's resolution preceded subsequent decriminalizations in Hazel Park, Ferndale, Ypsilanti, and Detroit.
