About
Vital Psychedelic Training offers a comprehensive psychedelic facilitator training program accessible nationally through a blended online-and-in-person format. The curriculum covers psychedelic pharmacology, trauma-informed facilitation, harm reduction, legal and ethical frameworks, and hands-on practicum work at retreat sites.
The program is designed to prepare graduates for licensure in Oregon (OHA facilitator license) and Colorado (DORA natural medicine facilitator license) as well as for facilitation roles in other international legal contexts. Vital's blended delivery model allows it to serve mental health professionals and aspiring facilitators across the country who cannot relocate to Portland or Denver for training.
Vital's alumni network spans dozens of states, with graduates working as Oregon and Colorado licensed facilitators, clinical trial co-therapists, integration therapists, and harm reduction educators. The organization also offers professional development modules on specific topics — trauma-informed psilocybin facilitation, working with veterans, cultural competency — as continuing education for working practitioners.
Why It Matters
The facilitator training bottleneck is one of the most significant constraints on expanding legal psilocybin access. Vital's national reach — serving trainees who cannot access Portland- or Denver-based programs — expands the training pipeline and increases the supply of qualified facilitators for state-regulated programs.
