About
Psychedelics in Recovery is a national network bridging 12-step recovery traditions with psychedelic healing. Active chapters operate in Austin and Portland with the network growing nationally. The network addresses what is arguably the most controversial intersection in psychedelic culture: can psychedelics aid addiction recovery despite traditional recovery's abstinence framework?
Given that psychedelic therapy's strongest clinical evidence is in addiction treatment, the gap between this evidence base and the existing recovery infrastructure is enormous. Psychedelics in Recovery is one of very few organizations actively working that intersection.
Why It Matters
Addiction recovery is where psychedelic medicine's clinical evidence is strongest. This network is one of the most operationally important under-funded areas in the entire space.
