About
Psychedelic Society of the Pacific Northwest is the primary regional psychedelic community organization for Washington State, serving approximately 2,400+ members across the greater Seattle area and through virtual programming across the Pacific Northwest. Monthly integration circles, harm reduction education, and a speaker series featuring researchers from the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center form the core programming.
Washington State does not have a regulated psilocybin access program as of 2026, though legislation is under active development (SB 5201). In the interim, the Society serves as the community infrastructure that connects Washington residents to Oregon's Measure 109 service centers — providing referrals, orientation sessions, and integration support for those traveling south for licensed access.
The speaker series has hosted researchers studying psilocybin's potential in oncology support contexts — a reflection of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center's role as one of the Pacific Northwest's primary academic anchors for psychedelic research.
Why It Matters
Washington State's combination of progressive urban culture and absence of a regulated access program creates enormous demand for community infrastructure. The Society fills that gap and actively prepares the community for the access program that legislative advocates are building.
