About
Psychedelic Medicine Alliance of Washington (PMAW) is the most politically connected psychedelic community organization in Washington State. Co-Directors Kody Zalewski and Tatiana Luz Quintana lead the alliance, with board members including Elyse Bais and Corey Champagne. PMAW evolved from Decriminalize Nature Seattle (DNS) in 2021 to drive statewide legislative change.
PMAW doesn't just talk about policy — they write the bills. Zalewski served on the state Psilocybin Task Force and drafted SB 5201 amendments for a regulated WA psilocybin framework. The alliance also tracks every relevant Washington bill, supports King County resolutions, and hosts community events.
Why It Matters
Washington State is one of the most likely next states to launch a regulated psilocybin program. Whatever that program looks like will be substantially shaped by PMAW's legislative work.
