MAPS is the preeminent organization in psychedelic medicine research and advocacy, founded in 1986 by Rick Doblin. MAPS has driven MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD through Phase 3 clinical trials and funded research into MDMA, LSD, psilocybin, ayahuasca, and ibogaine. The organization also operates the Zendo Project for harm reduction and provides therapist training programs.
