About
The Fireside Project operates the Psychedelic Peer Support Line — the only national, 24/7 peer support service specifically for people in psychedelic distress or in need of integration support. Founded in 2020, the line operates at 62-FIRESIDE (623-473-7433) and is staffed by trained peer supporters who can assist people during difficult experiences, in the immediate aftermath of a session, or during longer integration periods.
The Fireside Project's model is explicitly non-clinical: their peer supporters are not therapists, do not diagnose, and do not escalate to emergency services unless there is imminent risk of physical harm. This model is intentional — most psychedelic crises are psychological, not medical, and the most helpful response is calm, grounded peer support rather than clinical intervention.
The line is free, confidential, and available in Spanish as well as English. It is the most consistently cited harm reduction resource in the US psychedelic space and is referenced by service centers, retreat operators, clinical trials, and harm reduction organizations nationwide.
Why It Matters
Every person who uses psilocybin — whether in a licensed service center, a clinical trial, an international retreat, or an informal setting — should have the Fireside Project number. It is the most important single harm reduction resource in the US psychedelic ecosystem.
