I went through an Oregon licensed psilocybin service center in August 2023. Six months later, writing up my full experience -- what it was like, what I'd do differently, and whether I'd recommend it.

The basics: total cost including all required prep and integration sessions was $1,800. The session itself was 7 hours. The dose was 25mg synthetic psilocybin. Six months later: I'm doing significantly better on the specific thing I came for -- treatment-resistant depression unresponsive to three antidepressants over five years.

For context on cost: Oregon service centers are generally $800-2,500 per session. Jamaica retreat centers run $1,500-4,000 for multi-day programs. Home practice might cost $20-50 for comparable material. Oregon provides professional oversight and legal protection at higher cost.

Worth adding: Oregon has significant demand exceeding supply. Most well-regarded centers have waitlists of 2-4 months. Scheduling tip: reach out to multiple centers simultaneously and get on all their waitlists. Cancellations move quickly.
