I just finished my first grow of Tidal Wave and I want to share a detailed report because the information I found before starting was scattered. Here's what actually happened: Setup: 3 quart grain jars (rye berry), 10L CVG bulk in a 66qt tote. Colonization: Faster than I expected for a PE hybrid — about 18 days to full colonization vs. the 30+ I expected. Maybe my LC was particularly vigorous. Fruiting: First flush took 12 days. Morphology was fascinating — mix of classic wide-capped cubensis and the dense PE-style aborts. Second flush was heavier by weight. Potency: Significantly above my usual Golden Teacher dose. I went in at 2g and it was more than a typical 2.5g GT experience. Clear and visual, not as body-heavy as pure PE. Very positive.

Thanks for the detailed report. My Tidal Wave colonized much slower (26 days) and I think it's because my LC was older. Lesson learned — fresh LC matters more than with easier strains.

The mixed morphology is so characteristic of this strain. I used to think the aborted PE-style fruits were something going wrong until I learned it's just the genetics expressing themselves. Harvest them anyway — they're often more potent per gram than the caps that fully open.

What was your temp during fruiting? I've had Tidal Wave stall on pinning at 70°F. Bumping to 74°F made a big difference for me.
