I'm a licensed therapist and I want to learn about psychedelic-assisted therapy. There's a lot of training options of varying quality and a lot of confusing information. What are the actually credible resources for clinical training?

MAPS MDMA Therapy Training (now LYKOS Therapeutics): the most structured clinical training program. Specifically for MDMA-assisted therapy but many skills transfer. Certificate of Completion is recognized credential. Costs approximately $8,000-10,000. Required for LYKOS clinical network once MDMA is approved.

For Oregon licensing: OHSU, InnerTrek, and several other approved programs offer the state-required facilitator training (~160 hours). Not a clinical mental health degree requirement — open to licensed therapists, coaches, and others. Training programs differ in philosophical approach (clinical vs. ceremonial).

For background knowledge without formal training: Psychopharmacology textbooks (Stahl's) for mechanism understanding; The MAPS clinical practice guide (freely available); the Hopkins research papers; Psychedelic Medicine by Joe Tafur MD. The Johns Hopkins Certificate in Psychedelic Research is a good non-clinical credential.
