Zide Door — Church of Ambrosia

Zide Door, the physical congregational location of the Church of Ambrosia, is the world's largest psychedelic church with 137,000+ members worldwide. Founded in 2019 by Pastor Dave Hodges, the church operates as a nondenominational interfaith religion holding psilocybin mushrooms and cannabis as sacred sacraments. The Oakland flagship is open to members daily 9am–10pm with a $5/month membership model. The San Francisco location at 1121 Howard St was forced to close December 2024 after Hodges characterized harassment from the city's Planning Department. Zide Door's legal posture combines Oakland's 2019 Decriminalize Nature resolution with First Amendment Free Exercise Clause and RFRA defenses.
